Welcome to Hotel Anna

Our family owned retreat in Iceland since 2002. With seven cozy rooms and nine modern Nordic-style apartments, we blend tradition and comfort seamlessly. Each room offers private facilities, TV, and WIFI. The apartments, just 20 meters away, provide a modern touch. Unwind after exploring in our natural wonder-filled surroundings.

Each of our hotel rooms has private facilities, TV, a telephone, and free WIFI, and is individually furnished to a high standard, in keeping with the traditional style of the farm, the childhood home of the author Anna from Moldnúpur, whose books were popular in the 1950s. After a day out immersed in the natural wonders of the region, Hotel Anna is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the high level of personal service we know our guests deserve.

Our resturant

We are offering a blend of icelandic traditional dishes using local lamb and fish. Depending on season our guests can enjoy wild meat like goose, duck or reindeer. We strongly encourage you to try our special rhubarb pie or some delicious skyr cake.

Stayed for one night with my husband. Really nice apartments, clean and probably newly decorated. Breakfast and dinner delicious (especially the lobster soup). Hot tubs wonderful, with the mountains and nature all around. Staff was great and made our stay even better. Highly recommend, will be visiting again.

Very impressed with the standard of the superior apartment.2 separate bedrooms, large bathroom and kitchen and seating area.All the cooking equipment needed, fridge, microwave and hob. Service was great as was dinner in the restaurant.Hot tub and sauna available with robes on request. Walks around the hotel into the hills. Generally very impressed.

This is a small, historical hotel in the countryside on Hwy 1. Our room was right off the lobby and was furnished in antiques and quite comfy. The shower was extremely small. The young man at the front desk was VERY friendly and helpful. We ate dinner there and it was excellent! There was a hot tub and sauna, which we did not use
